Conferences and Workshops


OPOA's professional training programs are recognized as among the best available in the state. We also host many national programs and make them available to Oregon officers.

State-Wide Awards Program


OPOA has the best and most respected awards program in the state. Each year we recognize the finest examples of honor, courage and selfless commitment to public service performed by Oregon law enforcement professionals. The Awards Banquet is held each year following the annual OPOA Training Conference.

College Scholarship


Each year, the Oregon Peace Officers Association offers a scholarship opportunity to a dependent of an OPOA member or members.

To apply online for the 2012 OPOA Scholarship, please visit the 2012 OPOA Online Scholaship Application. All submissions must be received by April 15, 2012 in order to qualify.  

If for some reason you are unable to complete the online form, you may download the paper form here and mail in to OPOA.  However, this should be the exception.

Legislative Forum


OPOA provides a forum for bringing legislative proposals to the attention of the law enforcement community and the citizens of Oregon. We are committed to programs that promote the safety of the citizens of Oregon, and the welfare of the law enforcement community.

Committees


Through many special committees, OPOA involves its members in the operation of the association, and allows for them to have a direct impact on a multitude of pending issues. Members are encouraged to participate in various committees and boards such as: Executive Board, Training, By-Laws, Legislation, Conferences, Awards, Membership, Directory, Scholarships, Public Information, Newsletter or Police Memorial.

Subchapter Membership


With your OPOA membership you can choose to become a member of one of the five OPOA subchapters at no additional cost, including: Oregon Association of Reserve Peace Officers, Background Investigators Association, and Oregon Association of Property and Evidence Officers.

Death Benefit


All active and associate members in good standing are eligible to receive a $500 death benefit to be paid to their designated beneficiary upon their death.

Memorial Fund


OPOA provides a $500 benefit to the family of Oregon Peace Officers killed in the line of duty (including officers who are not OPOA members).
