Lieutenant Colonel Dave Grossman

Lieutenant Colonel Dave Grossman, U.S. Army (Ret.) Director, Warrior Science Group.  Member, American Board for Certification in Homeland Security; Member, American College of Forensic Examiners Institute.

Lt. Col. Dave Grossman is an internationally recognized scholar, author, soldier, and speaker who is one of the world's foremost experts in the field of human aggression and the roots of violence and violent crime. Col. Grossman is a former West Point psychology professor, Professor of Military Science, and an Army Ranger who has combined his experiences to become the founder of a new field of scientific endeavor, which has been termed “killology.”

In this new field Col. Grossman has made revolutionary new contributions to our understanding of killing in war, the psychological costs of war, the root causes of the current "virus" of violent crime that is raging around the world, and the process of healing the victims of violence, in war and peace. He is the author of On Killing, which was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize.

Kevin M. Gilmartin, Ph.D.

Dr. Gilmartin is a behavioral scientist specializing in law enforcement related issues. He is a principal and co-founder of Gilmartin, Harris, and Associates, a behavioral sciences/management consulting company specializing in law enforcement/public safety consultation.

He previously spent twenty years working in law enforcement in Tucson, Arizona. During his tenure he supervised the Hostage Negotiations Team and the Behavioral Sciences Unit. He is a former recipient of the International Association of Chiefs of Police-Parade Magazine, National Police Officer Citation Award for contributions during hostage negotiations. He presently maintains a consulting relationship with public safety and law enforcement agencies nationally in the U.S. and in Canada. He is guest instructor at the FBI Academy’s Law Enforcement Executive Development Institute (LEEDS and EDI).

He is retained as a consultant to several Federal agency national critical incident response teams. He is a charter member of the IACP-Psychological Services Section and former vice-president of the Society of Police and Criminal Psychology. The Department of Justice, FBI, and International Association of Chiefs of Police have published his work. He holds a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Arizona and is a licensed psychologist in the State of Arizona. He is a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and resides in Tucson, Arizona and Salem, Oregon

Dr. George Thompson, Ph.D.

The Verbal Judo Institute was founded in 1983 by Dr. George Thompson, Ph.D. to help police officers defuse conflict and redirect behavior with words.

Since then almost 1 million individuals have received Doc's Tactical Communications training and four books have been published on this topic.

Verbal Judo (Tactical Communications) has been highlighted in such national news media as ABC, CBS, CNN, 48 Hours, Inside Edition, CNN and NBC (including Tom Brokaw).

The vast majority of the people trained have been police, corrections, and security professionals and Verbal Judo is now a required course for these professions in numerous states. However, in recent years, individuals from all walks of life have received this training.

Lieutenant Randy Sutton

Randy Sutton is a retired Field Lieutenant with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Dept and a thirty year police veteran. He began his career as a Patrolman with the Princeton Borough Police Dept. and left that department holding the rank of Detective. In 1986 he joined the Las Vegas Metro Police and served as a Patrol Officer, Field Training Officer, and Narcotics Detective before being promoted to Sergeant. He held that rank for 13 years while being assigned to Patrol, Field Training, Community Oriented Policing, Investigations, Task Force operations and Supervisor of Advanced Training. He currently serves with the Northwest Area Command. He is one of the most decorated Police Officers on the department holding commendations for "Valor", Meritorious Service" Community Service Award" and several "Lifesaving" awards.

Randy is the author of three popular books published by St. Martins Press. "TRUE BLUE Police Stories by Those Who Have Lived Them" and "A Cop's Life" and "TRUE BLUE To Protect and Serve". His articles on Law Enforcement related issues have been featured in "American Police Beat". "Law Officer Magazine", "Policeone.com"He travels extensively, speaking to Law Enforcement Agencies and groups on the subject of ethics and integrity in a presentation entitled "Policing with Honor" based on his poplar article of the same name published in several national Law Enforcement Publications.
