Subchapters
The Oregon Peace Officers Association currently has three subchapters, also known as special chapters. These subchapters represent particular segments of the law enforcement community and serve the criminal justice field in general. Each subchapter has at least twenty five members and is guided by a constitution or set of bylaws consistent with the OPOA Constitution. Annual meetings are held for all members, as well as specialized training for their segment.
The current OPOA Subchapters are:
- Oregon Association of Reserve Peace Officers
- Oregon Background Investigators Association
- Oregon Association of Property and Evidence Officers
If you are interested in information on establishing a new subchapter, feel free to contact the OPOA for more information.
