Description Proper interviews and interrogations are a key part of any successful investigation. This class will cover how important proper interviews can be. We will discuss the cutting edge legal aspects including mandated recording of interviews, Senate Bill 309 updates, as well as Greene V. Camreta updates. Also discussed will be the relationship between interviews and offender types, false confessions, how to identifying emotions during an interview and interview analysis. The Troy Anderson Murder case review will be presented as well.

Description Does your agency have train tracks, railroad crossing or even a train station located within its jurisdiction? How are railroad accidents handled with interagency investigations? The purpose of this course is to provide first responders and investigators with an understanding of who rides trains, what cargo travels through your jurisdiction and learn about railroad accidents and cooperative interagency investigations.

Learn from a detective with Amtrak and a lieutenant with Union Pacific Railroad their duties and what they will need from you in the event of a train crash.
