Brief Overview:

This vehicle tactics course focuses on the principles and tactics involved with working in and around vehicles with a handgun or rifle.  The purpose of this course is to provide the student with the skills and knowledge to be able to defend themselves or others while working in and around vehicles.  The student will learn the limitations and capabilities of vehicles and factors that arise when fighting in and around them.  Topics covered include:

  • Vehicle and Glass Ballistics
  • Exterior and Interior engagement techniques
  • Solo and Multiple Officer Movement in and around vehicles
  • Self-extraction techniques
  • Contingencies

Supplies/Prerequisites:




  • 400 Rifle Rounds
  • 400 Pistol Rounds
  • Rifle w/ at least 3 magazines
  • Handgun w/ at least 3 magazines
  • Duty Gear (Vest/belt etc)
  • Eye and Ear protection
  • Painter’s mask or similar (for glass particles)
  • Weather appropriate gear
  • Any food/water etc you may need
 COVID Information:  Masks are required for this training.  If you are ill, please stay home.
